Yes, lay the blame elsewhere

Texting blamed for summer movie flops

But those days are over, because the technology of hand-held text-message devices has drastically cut down the time it takes for movie-goers to tell their friends that a heavily promoted summer action movie is a waste of time and money.

They do admit that movies this summer are arguably as bad as movies 5 summers ago.

I wish there was a way to search by release date (not just year) on the IMdb. Because I think I could argue this point.
