Sometimes, I just love my state

Massachusetts court strikes down ban on same-sex marriage.

The highest court in Massachusetts ruled Tuesday it is unconstitutional for the state to deny marriage to gay and lesbian couples, a move that could make the state the first to legalize same-sex marriages.

Interestingly enough, I heard a snippet on the radio yesterday that said that this may also mean that same-sex marriages may be recognized in other states. This is not because they are legalizing it so much as they have laws in place to recognize legal marriages in other states.
