Where the aliens win

My mother-in-law, the librarian, called us up tonight with a reference question.

"Can you give me the name of some SF books/stories where the aliens win?"

All we could think of off the top of our heads was "Invasion of the Body Snatchers", the 1955 novel made into three movies.

Does anyone have any other books to add to the list?

Can't think of any, no.

Turtledove's Worldwar series (aliens attack in the middle of WWII, starting with _In the Balance_) fights to something of a draw, with the aliens ending up controlling a good portion of the equitorial regions of the world. They consider it a loss (they've never faced significant resistance before), but humankind feels otherwise.

Nothing else sticks out in my mind just now, but I'll wander through the shelves when I get home this afternoon and see if I spot something else.
