Character Generation This game will be played using GURPS rules. Characters should be built on a standard 100 point base, with up to 45 points in disads and 5 points in quirks. Unusual backgrounds should be rare -- this is a game of normal people in what will soon become extraordinary circumstances. I am only going to be taking 6 players at max for this game, so if you are interested in playing, submit a character concept (no points, no character sheets yet, please) to me. Characters must have a reason for being in Boston, MA on December 5, 2055. If you want some GM help with that, please let me know. The game will take place in New England, since it's a setting that I know pretty well. But your characters do not have to be from New England. If players wish their characters to know one another or be related, that is fine, just clear it with each other and with me. The setting is just a little beyond modern day. The first attempt to journey beyond our solar system failed disastrously, but some of the technology is commonplace. Super high definition televisions are everywhere (and are more normally called vidscreens), and everything is chipped and wired and plugged into the 'net. No one, however has the cyberpunk-esque plugs in their head (well, maybe the military, but they aren't talking. Any questions? Just ask! |
